TOKENIZATION

  • Tokenization replaces sensitive data with
    a randomized, non-sensitive substitute.

  • Tokenized data CANNOT be hacked.

ENCRYPTION

  • ​Encryption changes the data type & length
    making info unreadable in databases.

  • Encrypted data CAN be hacked. Hackers steal encryption key & intercept data either before or after it’s decrypted.
